Shop till you drop in Def Jam’s new game
In the new videogame Def Jam: Icon, not only do you get be a rapper, you get to burn cash like one.
One of the game’s highlights is the ability for players to purchase virtual clothing from popular real-life designers.
As you work your way to the top of the music biz (you can choose to play as a famous rapper like T.I. or Jim Jones or model your avatar on yourself), your wealth grows. And as your wealth grows, so does your sense of style – affording you the opportunity to shop at virtual stores and cop the latest gear from Sean John, Rocawear and other brands.
“We wanted to create as authentic an experience as possible,” says vice president of Marketing for Def Jam Enterprises, Lauren Wirtzer, of the virtual shopping experience.
Def Jam: Icon (Def Jam Interactive/Electronic Arts) is available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March.
