The good folks at LRG are showing their cultural side with the release of this Mexican Rug Hoodie.

Casual and fresh and perfect for spring, make sure you rock this with LRG’s Run for the Border classic jeans and throw on a pair of Nike’s Limited Edition Mexican Blanket P-Rods (seen below).

  • JELLY says:

  • Buddy89 says:

Nice shit on both the hoody and shoes. I’m not of Mexican descent but i know im going to buy both of these. Anybody know when the p-rods come out?

  • JOSH says:

P-RODS BEEN OUT FOR OVER A YEAR. PICKYOURSHOES.COM

  • Jose says:

I defintley agree, if Drjays.com want to help rep the “Raza, latin, hispanic” culture/people they should add brands like Joker & Blanco Label.

    But i like this sweater,

  • Santiago says:

Blanco Label! Get it , for real cuz thats repp’n us (ALL Latinos!) cuz aint everybody a mexican or puerto rican. EL SALVADOR QUE QUE!!!!!!!

  • N1Na says:

I think the hoodie and shoes are alright, but I think there is alot more Mexican art and history we can praise and show on our clothing that would be a little more satisfying than a blanket. Look at our ancient cultures, the Mayans and the Aztecs. Some indio art would be fresh don’t ya’ll think!? I mean it’s a start and I’m not really one to complain , but anyway being proud of who you are should come from within not from a t-shirt anyway. I like some of Avirex’s t-shirts with the Native American headdresses and all, some of the bigger labels should come out with a clothing line promoting what already exists- the pride we hold for our cultures.

  • Redline says:

yea i like how LRG is becoming more culturally involved.. that mexican hoodie is aight, but i know there are better designs out there that can be created. Like for instance, that Vietnam Ambush in the Night Theme is nasty… i’m sure they can think of something for Mexico. Btw, LRG needs to come out wit some more South Vietnam Pride jawn tooo

  • robertito says:

AKA DE SANTIAGO DE CHILE YO ME COMPRO ROPA EN SU PAGINA WEB SIEMPRE,SON LOS MEJORES DE VERDAD,MUY BUENA LA TIENA CIBERNETICA,PRONTO ME TRAERÉ APPAREL A MY CONTRY,I LOVE DRJAYS

  • paula says:

now i’am not gonna lie..the shoes r bangin but “mexican blanket”?! Come on yo! why couldn’t they just call it the Latino Blanket. Us latinos have people that represent us and our culture. It dosen’t matter where u from. But if the people at drjays.com wants more customers, try gettin sum more latin clothing lines on ur website. Keep up the good work though.

  • miamiroe says:

LRG been came out with an Aztec design a year ago N1Na. They had some raw Tenochtitlan jeans, a jacket and t shirts I think the jacket is still on Herbanstlyz.com But this Mexican Rug thing is cool and is bangin with the jeans and the shirt. The shoes would complete it if you know how to color cordinate. I love LRG thats all i wear.

  • War says:

This Mexican Blanket Hoodie has been done many times before by “REAL” lesser known streetwear labels (ie Swagger)… People claim BAPE watches the streetwear market and duplicates whatever is HOT, well LRG does the exact same.

And to think that LRG Tool Ben Baller has the audacity to say that smaller independent streetwear labels are wack (Vapors Magazine 37), yet still the label he’s reppin’ (LRG) has been swagger jackin’ ideas/designs from these smaller lesser known labels for the longest time.

  • Redline says:

LRG is an authentic clothing line, War. I’ve kept my clothing wear updated and those overpriced underground streetwear labels hardly have any unique gear. Its plain colored and the themes are wack.. i mean can’t a clothing line have something else on their shirts other than money? LRG actualy got some meaningful wear, and even tho its goin mainstream now, its will stay authentic. “underground inventive, overground effective”

  • miamiroe says:

    I AGREE REDLINE

  • War says:

I would concur that of all the commercial brands (ie G-Unit, Phat Farm et al) LRG is the best, but their designs of late have been uninspiring (eg Dead Serious Hoodie).

Dollar signs on Tees? Plain Colors? I check slamxype, highsnobiety, and hypebeast regularly, and I don’t see such things…

The premium people have to pay for goods from smaller streetwear labels is due to the fact that most, if not all, are made in the USA (except Alife, MOB, and Supreme… Canadian made) by clothing manufacturers that have a higher overhead than (slave labor) factories in Bangladesh, Malaysia, China, India etc. so it’s obvious this cost is passed to you the consumer.

In the end I guess it’s all up to the consumer… you can either look like a “Street Clone” and support some kid named Chowdury’s nickel a day income, in Bangladesh. Or you can buy a little “Exclusivety” and support homegrown Design, and manufacturing.

  • hoodies looks nice too me…I don’t think they were trying to be racist or anything.

  • Hector Ramirez says:

Yeah i agree!! I found a website who got the new Blanco Label line too. it,s http://www.urbanswaggershop.com they are legit from what i see.

  • reina says:

i like the shoes, those colors are hot right now, but it kinda looks like the blanket too! the blanket is wack, i’d tell my man to take it off, im all for reppin my heritage por que soy mexicana, but come on!

  • MH says:

some streetwear has been manufacturered in bangladesh, can any one tell me which brand are beenin manufacturered in bangladesh please

    can you email me thanks
    [email protected]

  • Soulgirl says:

Hm… generally I agree with you, but I wonder what our readers would tell.

  • david says:

YOU GUYS NEED TO SEE WHATS UP WITH BUJWAH CLOTHING. STRAIGHT OUTTA THE DESERT SOUTHWEST. Tru latino clothing line.

  • LRG says:

    The shoes are so nice!!!!!

  • Chi-town boss pimp!! says:

The hoodie is so lame!!! It looks like a really crappy mexican pancho,
all you need is a ridiculous sombrero to complete the outfit.
This is a huge insult to the mexican culture and i feel bad for anyone who goes out and spends good money on that hideous thing!
Dr. Jays should drop LRG and add Blanco Label, SAFARI, & Raza clothing line.
