Today marks the ten year anniversary of Notorious BIG’s death
Make sure you’re bumpin’ Ready To Die or Life After Death on your iPod or if you’re a younger person and can’t remember the man, head out and grab yourself a copy of the new Greatest Hits album.
Today marks 10 years since the tragic death of one of hip-hop’s greatest, Notorious B.I.G.
On March 9, 1997, the rapper (born Christopher Wallace and also known as Biggie Smalls) was in Los Angeles to attend the Soul Train Music Awards. While waiting in traffic following an after-show party, an assailant in another car pulled up and opened fire, resulting in Wallace’s death shortly afterwards.
The East Coast/West Coast rap rivalry that had escalated out of control with the murder of Tupac Shakur in September 1996 reached its apex when Biggie was murdered.
Let’s pray the seemingly harmless ongoing “beefs” between so many male rappers out today (50 Cent, Cam’Ron, Lil Wayne, etc) come to an end before tragedy strikes again.
Rest In Peace Christopher “Notorious B.I.G” Wallace: May 21 1972–March 9 1997.

B.I.G was a total poser anyway. That dude deserved to get mowed down like the bitch that he was.
