Who is behind the 5IVE JUNGLE brand and when did it start?
“The brand started in spring 2005. It was founded by Jean Choi, who was formerly the General Brand Manager for LOT29.”
What’s the meaning behind the name?
“5ive represents the five boroughs of New York. Jungle is the diversity and the street life of NYC.”
What gap do you think 5IVE JUNGLE fills in the men’s fashion market?
“We fill in between mid-tier to high-tier market. Our customers are a mix of urban and suburban kids between the ages of 15 to 22.”
Have you enjoyed any support from the entertainment industry so far?
“This is something we’re working on at this moment. We do have celebrities requesting for clothes for their concerts, etc.”
Do the creators of 5IVE JUNGLE live the lifestyle of the demographic they’re targeting?
“We might not dress up or live in that lifestyle, but MOST of us have grown up or love listening to hip-hop music. “

THERE’S ALWAYS BEEN ALOT OF HIPHOP CLOTHING COMPANIES RUN BY 50 YR OLD MEN “ASIAN” OR “JEWISH” MEN WHO WEAR A SUIT EVERYDAY, AND JUST HIRE (”PIMP”) YOUNG DESIGNERS FROM THE HOOD FOR THEIR TALENT.
NO ONE WEARS 5IVE JUNGLE IN NYC. NO ONE.
THEY WEAR CROOKS-N-CASTLES, 10 DEEP, LRG, ARTFUL DODGER, LEMAR-N-DAULEY, ETC….

Ayo, SoJones, hate to break it to ya, but this dude at FASHIONHUSTLER.COM speaks the truth. Ain’t nobody feelin for 5ive Jungle. NYC rocks LEMAR-N-DAULEY, ROCKSMITH, CROOKS-N-CASTLES, etc.
I still have a hard time believing you run a Hip Hop Clothing magazine, yet you still up on **** like Rocawear and Pure Playaz. Kids ain’t feelin for that played **** no mo’. Get ya’self together.

i got 1 pair of 5ive Jungle jeans…they’re alright. but other than that 1 pair, i don’t really feel anything else from the brand.
Some of their shirts are cool. But for the most part, they ain’t my style.
