When Lauryn Hill first appeared in the spotlight over a decade ago, she was a breath of fresh air.
The New Jersey born artist was a dark-skinned beauty with limitless talent. She represented all that is classic about hip-hop – innovation, fearlessness and magnetic presence.
Her style reflected her diverse character also – her look was equal parts ‘hood savvy, earthy and glamorous.
Fast forward to today. Take a look at Lauryn performing in Oakland, California last week:
It was reported Lauryn fell on stage during this show, as she had at a previous concert in Las Vegas.
The contrast is so drastic, we just had to put it out there. Maybe Lauryn needs hip-hop as much as it needs her?

man, i just went to her show last week. it was a HOT MESS. the band was on point, but her voice was just gone. so sad. and the fact that she looked like michael jackson in The Wiz was not helping.

Oh my God! I can not believe that is Lauryn Hill, looking a hot mess. she was so pretty back in the day. what’s wrong with her is she on drugs,the reason she keeps falling on stage? I hope she gets herself together fast,before it’s too late to do so.
My Poor Baby, Lauryn Hill was one of the biggest Hip Hop and Fashion icons, I hope she gets it together real soon. I miss the beautiful, talented Lauryn.
