Would you return the money?

A motorcycle taxi driver in the Phillipines is today either the most stupid or nicest man in the world.

Taxi driver Iluminado Boc’s female passenger left behind a bag of cash in his cab – a cool $17,000 to be exact.

Boc, 45, found the money and returned it to police straight away.

The woman who lost the bag of cash had just reported it to police when Boc showed up at the precinct.

Boc wasn’t your average Good Samaritan either; he needed the cash for his sick wife and overdue rent, but honesty prevented him from keeping the money.

“It was not mine,” Boc was quoted as saying.

The owner rewarded him with $32 — nothing compared to the amount he returned, but about seven times what a motorcycle taxi driver makes a day.

What would you do if you found yourself in that situation?

I would have given her most of it back. she would have had to share since i was the one to find it! anybody eles would have kept it all (well) except the taxi driver!

  • I HUSTLE THEREFORE I AM says:

I mean she already reported it to the police so it’s a good thing that he gave it back cause he would’ve been the first person that popo would be looking for. As for me i agree wit the shawty above, she’d be about 10K light

  • flyer than yo momma says:

i would totally give it back…. for my own health… cus when cash like that comes in a “bag” it usually belongs to someone who wants that **** back….

  • James says:

She was careless enough to leave cash like that laying around, I would’ve kept it. F*ck it. Yeah yeah I know it’s wrong. I left a whole case of CD’s in a cab once, with my name all over them and they ironically were found by someone I know (who didn’t like me much at the time) and I never got them back.
