After working her style magic with brands like Deréon and House of Deréon, Tina Knowles is gearing up for the fall 2007 debut of her new line, Miss Tina.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Miss Tina is a “collection of sportswear, denim, sweaters, shoes, handbags and accessories that targets 30-to-50 year old customers.”

The new brand ranges in size from 2-24, and the line will be sold exclusively on the American TV channel Home Shopping Network.

“There’s a forgotten woman who wants a pencil skirt, too, or a blouse that’s a little lower cut. Beyoncé has backup singers who are full-figured women. Being a woman over 50, I try to think about the things I have going for me and the things I want to hide.

“I’ve been a stylist for so many years, I know how to accentuate the positive. I brought Beyoncé up the other day [to view the collection] and she said, ‘Some of this, I would wear.’”

  • okayyyyyyyyyyyy

They are definitely doing that business thing but I feel the women of today’s generations from young to 60 … they prefer something that gives them a clean / classic yet appealing/sexy look….

but i like what she has on int eh photo above and think it falls in the line of what i said. It’s not over sexy but it’s still very alluring

So let’s see if Shaq has this right:

SoJones wants wants to see old women in sexy clothes, not based on any facts but because he thinks that’s what women want.

    Sorry dude no dice.

  • Donna says:

TO the response above, you can be sexy at any age, you just have to have the common sense to know how to do it, and no it’s not having shorts up in your ass or you breast hanging out all over the place.do you even know the meaning of sexy? it doesn’t sound like it, anyway i think her clothing line will be great, i also think it needs to be available other than the home shopping network to make it work

    Donna, you dont know SHAQ

    Ka’Zaam!

  • NB says:

Nice idea. If some of the pieces are good, i’ll def invest for my mom. I didn’t know Dereon n house of Dereon were 2 different brands. I guess that explains why the prices of the stuff on the house of Dereon website are crazy.

  • Taylor says:

Well okay the thing I dont get is if Beyonce got these ” backup singers that are full figured” (that I havent seen) and all of the sudden they just now realized every woman is not skinny. I mean really. Come on now! The prices on this stuff is crazy and NB I totally agre with you about the two brands and the prices! What made Tina Knowles think that 30-50 year old woman wants to buy a pair of dress pants that 100 dollars! The only nice thing I can think about this is its a line for older women and hopefully without the high ass prices! But other then that I wish Tina and Beyonce nothing but luck!

    great idea

I think the dereon line needs a lil more work. I have seen some of the clothing at retail store and they look like the would fall apart after a few washes!!!! I wouldn’t pay a penny for any piece.

  • akaMS_controversy says:

i don’t want to c a 60 year old in a reveling outfit and i don’t want to c a 60 year old wear a tight skirt all older people should wear is what the old women wear in the front of the church ….lol this clothing line will not last epecially with them price …..the money is at juniors, and women 21-48 but when u get up there they really don’t care about clothes all they care about is having fun with there old friends and and playin games ……..bingo………let be real them prices….better not be high cause the only people u can sell them is the golden girls…… don’t get it twisted i like older people ….but i just sayin they don’t really care about clothing ….as long as it cheap and there comfortable

  • Luvfashion says:

I’m pretty sure that Tina’s line will be sexy and conservative for the older ladies and I think its a good idea. I highly doubt that the clothes will cost that much, I mean really Dereon doesnt really cost that much. I wear Dereon and it costs about the same as any other brand label that you’ll find here on Dr Jays, Man Alive, D.E.M.O, or any other store. And older woman do care about their appearance because the only clothing out for older woman is ugly and it makes them feel old. No one wants to feel old. So I commend Tina on launching this clothing line.
