Timberland are releasing a boot celebrating the Bay Area’s Hyphy scene!

Check out the review from Clyde Smith at ProHipHop.com:

Timberland does indeed have three boots in its Fall 2007 Authentic Youth line that are inspired by the Hyphy scene in the Bay: one is a 6 Inch Premium in Black with Green and White and Black with Orange and White; one is a Roll-Top (same color scheme as 6 Inch) and one is a Euro Dub (same color scheme as 6 Inch).

Timberland footwear designers are inspired by all aspects of youth and youth culture, and its my understanding that these particular boots were inspired by a trip that they made to the Bay in 2006.

The new boots will be up on DrJays.com soon, so check back regularly.

those wudb hot if the bottoms glowed in the dark

  • Thats B*llsh*t, because Timberland first said they don’t design for the urban market, they are only an outerwear company, unconcerned for urban wear” and now they change their story…
and Secondly, that color way was the WuTang color scheme that the RZA co-designed for the limited edition Wutang-Timberland collabo

LOL, I remember the interview Timberland CEO Jeffrey Schwartz gave to Source Mag.”Our markets are the craftsmen and lumberjacks rather than urban youth”. So where is the lumberjack chainsaw edition for Tims?

  • SBE says:

    Honestly,
everyone wants to restate and cancel what they said a couple a weeks back or months. For as long as i have looked at Timberlands they have been symbolized with the rugged outdoors and wilderness inthe shoes not the urban scene.
But putting that aside, Those boots honestly should represent the true color of the Bay. I think that those colors dont do justice to the representation of the bay.
