Skull Rose Jeans by Ed Hardy

A couple weekends back in Atlanta there was a fashion tradeshow called Atlanta Apparel Mart.

This tradeshow has a particular focus on the urban/street market.

A buyer from an urbanwear store in Mississippi, who attended the tradeshow, was quoted in today’s DNR Magazine saying that “no one in the market can put their finger on the next hot trend, but right now it’s gothic and skulls.”

Gothic and skulls? Really? What do you guys think?

if i saw soem one in england wearing skulls and gothic stuff, i wud hit them with a metal bar…. u guys needa sort it out.

  • Q says:

HELL NO! Skullz and gothic have never been cool, I think Lil Wayne had one outfit where he was dressed kind of gothic, but that was a while ago, and I think he’s still trying to find his image. Skullz and gothic outfits are no bueno fam.

  • People are still wearing Affliction and Blac label because thats whats available in the stores.
But, when a company of any merit, finally decides to try something new apart from the skull look, then people will embrace that new look, whatever it maybe.
skulls and gothic will probably ride right into the winter time, but i don’t predict a new style until most likely spring time.

skULL S**** IS SO UGLY TO ME I DONT KNO WHY PEOPLE WASTE THERE TIME MAKING THAT STUPID S****

  • Tysheema says:

itz so different cuz many ppl have different styles

  • Chase Sanders says:

Yeah that “Rockstar Swag” is played out. First dipset, weezy, now everyone. I mean if you seriously like hip hop, why would you wanna be a rockstar??? But trends come and go. I like the just “Fresh Style” right now. The shirts aren’t tight but aren’t tall tees. Alot of colors, polos, and tees w/ designs or phrases, nike dunks and jordans, loose jeans, but more fitting then your “falling off your ass” baggy ones. I think LRG does a great job of this. And the “Street Swag” section is nice too. I mean tall tees played out aswell. Its just that fresh swag now. People should switch it up have different outfits don’t wear the same thing ya dig??

  • Kay says:

I have to agree with the comment above, the rockstar look is played out. to me real fashion is defined based on originality, today everyone got the same look nobody looks original. please real fashion dons and divas stand up and stand out

  • april says:

i rock da dunks holister shirts and jeans. bright colors and all i already did the rock stuff now its time for my new york prep look

  • that stuff is played out but the south will be on it a while……… unfortunately the south does pick up late but that’s b/c the available stores to buy from pick up late…. and at discount prices…..

i learned the fashion game from my forum on sojones and that’s pretty much how it rolls

  • JD $onata says:

i say yea cuz i been rockin a mix of that, colorful stuff, and japanese stuff

  • ms lina the diva says:

the chains and skull heads and dudes wearing tighter jeans than the females is definately played out. the clean cut look is in. clothes that actually fit is a good look

  • FlushInG TIMES says:

Skulls is hott depending which brand you buy and making sure you look official wearing that style not everyone has style. So it up to you and your style in clothing..

  • JBeezy says:

Naw not all. Remember this quote “Once People In The Hood Start Rockin Something, It’s officially OUT OF STYLE”!

  • ballin4keeps says:

I hate all of you. Too bad the $20 hoodies look just like the $300 hoodies. nothing can be kinda cool without it being over saturated and ****in copied by every other brand. i would have never considered the scene gothic, just a whole **** ton of followers doin what MTV tells them is hot. All over print hoodies, and skull and cross bone gear can now be bought at target and wal-mart….officially played out. so its whats next? I dunno how **** could get flashier? its probably gone start goin plain again.

  • Miss Lady says:

the whole “rock star” “chain gang” “skulls” is getting kinda tired. tooo much biters.

  • PrettyTonie says:

Yeah I am feeling the skulls and gothic sometimes but i have something for every occasion so I dont over due it but trends change but you should always be prepared. Dont get in too deep cause next summer it will be something else.
