Akademiks shows love to New York’s ladies

Last weekend Akademiks sponsored the Angie Martinez Hair Show & Beauty Expo at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
Over 2,000 women and girls were in attendance, and Akademiks were cited as the highlight of the event, with their huge, interactive booth and holiday fashion show held before the main concert.
The brand held a contest titled “What’s Your Flavor?” at the event, where fans of the brand put together an Akademiks outfit along with accessories and handbags and participated in a mini photo shoot.
The winner of the contest, Lillian Lopez, received $1,000 worth of merchandise, walked in the fashion show and will soon be featured on the Akademiks MySpace page and website.
