The Friday the 47th Hoodie by LRG

If you’re a student in California, you may want to reconsider wearing your LRG hoodie to school.

A number of high schools in southern Orange County are banning pupils from wearing masked hoodies for a variety of reasons.

These include the ability for students to conceal their identity and also for non-students to sneak onto campus.

“There is no way to identify who kids are,” Tom Ressler, principal at Capistrano Valley High, is quoted as saying. “Generally, we don’t think that is a good thing. It gives kids the opportunity to do something bad.”

According to the article, Sergio Magana, 17, a senior at Capistrano Valley, bought two masked hoodies after he saw some of his favorite rappers, including Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco, wearing them.

“They bring the style and we roll with it,” Magana said.

What do you think about the ban?

well that makes sense. we do look like muggers with that.

  • kee says:

Everybody trying to make a quick buck. Who would even think to make a masked hoodie? To all of the entreprenuers with big money: Instead of comming up with stupid ideas to make loads of cash, give it to the poor, or think about what your selling and analize how it would effect society. Now you should have known that this invention would cause problems, especially in the schools. We got people shooting up schools and people snatching up other peoples kids at school, and they dont just kidnap little girls anymore, the want the little boys too.

  • Lateesha says:

Makes a lotta sense, I’d ban it too. And honestly, they look a little stupid to me.

  • Will973 says:

I don’t blame da schools I blame da designers who didnt think twice before shipping masked hoodies into stores world-wide.

  • Yenise says:

LMFAO, why would you zip it all the way up in school anyways?
    Thats retarded

  • Newton says:

Yeah, it does make sense and you can’t blame the schools. The masked hoodies are childish! Zipping the hoody all the way for Halloween makes sense though.

  • 90's baby says:

    im scared

  • Mimi says:

I THINK THAT THESE HOODIES SHOULD BE BANNED ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AS WELL AS WINTER HATS THAT MASK THE FACE ENTIRELY. WHY SHOULD ANYONE WANT TO CONCEAL THEIR IDENTITY UNLESS THEY ARE UP TO NO GOOD. I DON’T MIND MY SON WEARING SOME URBAN WEAR, BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE AT ALL TO YOUNG MEN.

  • miss ladyy says:

what the hell..these scare me. who actually wears this?? i’d suffocate.

  • Gone Jah says:

Who would have thought a jacket that would change the hip-hop scene and keep people warm at the same time, would effect society. Hahaha Hip-Hop lives.

  • moses says:

its not in canada so i dont give a fuck

  • Jon P says:

Seems to me that LRG is making some stupid business decisions, their clothes are very fly but some stuff like the take life hoodie should not be made, but you cant blame big business for taking their money off of a culture who supports murder, bigamy, and disrespect, when are us black folk gonna learn? Although I’ve never personally seen anyone with this hoody what dumbass would wear that in public that’s asking to get arrested, now what if you were to get pulled over by a cop and he questions you about a murder because some other dumbass has the same hoody? Choices People, intelligent ones need to be made.

  • Arican says:

FCKTHMALL let’s band balaclava, bandanas, kerchief, scarf, shawl – I wonder how much did the principal get for the advertising :D

  • Arican says:

    Jon P yeah your smart :D :D:D

  • Aye B. says:

wait… thats the whole reason why i bought this hoodie to rob and murder…. LOL you got to be kidding me let jus ban everything that make us look supicious like tinted windows on you vehicle, baggy pants, wearing your hat backward or in any direction that isnt stright, exposed tattoos, i mean i can make a list but i think you get my point. quit being scared america its only hip-hop.

  • dsdsds says:

  • Forceman says:

yea i can see y they would ban this hoody but come on now who would wear that ugly ass jason hoody in the first place it doesnt look thug or hood it looks like they made the jason hoody for those weird rockers that shoot up their shcools and commit suicide dont u think so?

  • sonny black says:

i think this is a good idea. we got enough little hell raising bastards in high school we dont need em in masks too. although if a crime did occur the one in the loud ass bright red masked hoody might not be too hard to spot out of a lineup… i got mine cuz i’ve been waitin for some freddy krueger lookin shit to popoff on a nice label

  • Optimistic says:

i’m all for it the style’s unique and artistic, but y are all the posters supporting this, typing in dumbass english? i could understand it but why do they have to pretend to talk gangster and act all hard?
I can see why principals would ban this in school, i’d feel uncomfortable too if i had to run a school with kids looking like that, plus i can see how one can feel stuffy in one of those. But it is something unique u can show off when you’re with friends and some environments…
