Lil Wayne

Lil’ Wayne has been hit today with some very serious criminal charges: possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, was arrested in Arizona after police stormed his tour bus and found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills.

His bond has just been set at $10,000 and he will be released from police custody shortly.

After everything we know about police surveillance of rap artists (the fabled “hip-hop police”) and with T.I.‘s recent arrest still warm in our minds, will rappers ever learn their lesson?

Wayne is a drug addict, and everyone knows it. Perhaps he puts his creativity down to his substance abuse, but it’s just a sad situation all ’round.

az COPS ARE A BITCH. i live in Phoenix and these cops out here r baaad. I though tha LAPD was bad…Anyways, this is like his 3rd drug arrest, and where tha hell is Stunna in all this??? Weezy needs to get 2 rehab. Who knows, maybe he’ll meet up with Britney Spears and have a kid. Now that would be news.

    OBVIOUSLY….NO.

Okay, it’s common knowledge that rappers are being watched by the po-pos. We know it, they know it. Hell, they even rap about it. Heard Luda on Release Therapy? “We ain’t above the law but our life is so fast/ we got a special task force of police on our @ss.”
So we ALL know they’re watching and waiting for us to slip. So why are these guys putting themselves in positions to get locked up? We can say f-u-c-k the police, but it’s not the police who put our best and brightest stars into these situations. We definitely gotta stop doing this to ourselves, because the voices that we want to hear are doing us no good behind bars (Although I would like to know why Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton and Kiefer Sutherland get mere days in prison and rappers get locked up for so long that their entourages have to find real jobs. Plus they haven’t even locked Britney Spears up yet and she deserves prison more than R. Kelly, Michael Jordan, and Michael Vick combined. Anyway, that’s another story). The name for a person who sees something happen throughout history or to someone else in a similar position and still fails to adjust his/her lifestyle and/or mindset is an IDIOT. Period. Whether we like their lyrics or not.

  • James says:

There’s a few probs with what Chris J the Genius said….

first, Lindsay and Paris get sh*t like DUIs not possesion of 29 grams of white.

2nd, your last two sentences. People are never gonna learn, the smart get smarter, and the dumb get dumber.

  • Xavier says:

Money does not buy class. Their should mandatory mentorship counselors assigned to rappers or even fines handed out by labels for rappers arrested for stupid shit. If they wanna act like wrestlers witg all the drama and theatrics, fines hitting their pockets will improve their behavior if they can’t buy class. These niggas are making us BLACK people look real bad.

  • hermann says:

  • Arican says:

LOL that pics is funny… his money, his business, his problem why do we even care about it ?
***If you have so much money as he has you get bored.***

  • New Olreans says:

Much respect to Wayne everybody got a fucking option but everybody get high or drink or do somthing to calm there nerves. Wayne will bail out and smoke another blunt and pop him a pill. Nigga dont care what the police think they mad cause real niggas make money. U can arrest him 20 times long as you got money you will be fine. Uptown New Orleans 4 Life

  • mrtee says:

wizzy’s dope, you dont have to be a pill popper or a junkie to like wayne,da boys sick hes got crazy style ,stop hatin its,all yall youngin’s need to check yoself its wizzzzzy baby.

  • good dude says:

Wayne and other rappers will only change once they value thier social outlook. They know they have the money to get them out of any jam, and they know they’ll recieve love once they come out. If anything their credibility is only bolstered with any prison time because the fan base will grow and gravitate towards the artist. He has to see and become concerned about what these actions and legal situations do to his image to change for the better.

  • $age says:

love his yunes but it makes it that much harder 2 defend him when he gets his dumbass locked up

  • Jon P says:

Number 1 is this nigga cryin? Number2 why the fuck would you cross a state line with all that? On a tour bus, with a well known rapper on board? Weezy bought this case, now he just gotta buy a lawyer. Personally I hope he gets time cuz I got arrested for drugs and went to jail just like he did for almost a year, with not even close to the amount he had. Bottom line is if i gotta go, he gotta go too, it’s only right. I’m really suprised that the judge took Britneys kids away, maybe the judges are getting tougher. And T.I ass needs to be locked up too, why the fuck would you buy guns from your bodyguard at a mall parking lot? Man niggas with money are stupid, all this just to buy some more spinning rims?

  • Shea says:

Rappers are not role models. Some are. Some are not. A lot of these guys are just guys who can come up with catchy phrases and go hard on some beats. Most of these guys were doing this stuff before they got to the labels and now just got more money to keep living whatever lifestyle they were living before. Record labels don’t care about what these idiots do just as long as they get their cut. The price of the cd might go up just because he might not get out of jail/prison for a while.

  • Sonya says:

i wouldn’t be surprised if half the time someone gets busted because another rapper snitched on them. and the answer to the question is hecks naw they won’t ever learn until they die. then they are just dead!

  • KB says:

Thats deff why he looks like he’s high and deff not off of weed

  • C>DOLLLAZ says:

Wayne is a PUSSY PUSSY PUSSY!!!!

  • Dee says:

Some rappers make some songs bout jail…so it helps them come up with good songs..lol
