Snoop Dogg talks style
Snoop Dogg
In the current issue of KING magazine, Snoop Dogg talks to reporter Mary H.K. Choi about his personal style.
You’re not going to start wearing tapered, fitted jeans?
Fitted what? Hell nah. Never. I’ll wear my jeans how I been wearing them: saggy.Which labels do you swear by?
Hugo Boss; Dolce & Gabbana, they be lookin’ out for me; and I like Gucci and Louis Vuitton.Who are your style icons?
Lynn Swann, Walter Payton, Max Julien, Magic Johnson, Muhammad Ali, Fred Williamson. They have their own swagger; there are no two alike, and they’re independent. Why haven’t you ever followed rap’s fashion trends?
I draw from who I am and the era I was born and raised in. When you’re a kid, the style you see sets in your mind, and when you become a teenager or a young adult, you take all those things that you were inspired by and make yourself; you create who you are. I don’t really get caught up with being nobody else. Can you admit to any fashion regrets?
I just wish I would’ve had some records when flattops were out, ’cause my shit was tighter than a motherfu**er.
