A new men’s brand available now is Kani Life Denim.

If the name sounds familiar that’s because it is – the line is the brainchild of Karl Kani, one of the pioneers of urban fashion.

The new line marks a triumphant US comeback for the designer, who’s continued to enjoy success in Europe all these years with various lines including Kani Original, Kani Jeans and Kani Gothic.

Consisting of men’s shirts, jeans, hoodies and outerwear, Kani Life Denim also has a women’s line launching soon.

Karl Kani (one of my Sheepshead Bay alumni) is tossing his hat back in the game with “Kani Life Denim” an honest take on the sketch print shirts that you see on the backs of dudes from LES to the Bay. And I must admit, I seen a few of these prints in person and they’re not half bad compared to all the cloned designs I see on the daily on these streets of New York.
