Diddy brings style to MTV
Diddy
MTV is partnering with Diddy for a full fashion blowout.
If I Were King, a documentary executive produced by Diddy that chronicles and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Sean John label, airs Wednesday, April 9th at 10p.m. ET.
On Saturday, April 12nd at 2p.m. ET, viewers will be treated to an encore of the documentary plus the MTV special Sean John: Internship by Design.
Throughout the day leading up to the documentary encore, viewers can tune-in periodically to see four New York City design students prepare their own fashion creations according to three Diddy-appointed challenges in order to become the next Sean John label intern.
If I Were King is a behind-the-scenes look as Diddy prepares for Sean John’s return to the runway after five years at New York Fashion Week. It also reveals Diddy’s numerous style inspirations.
In Sean John: Internship By Design, four students compete in the ultimate runway challenge with models strutting the catwalk in their custom designs to the accompaniment of a live performance by Flo Rida.
The young designers must prove one of them deserves to be the next Sean John intern, as they face critique from judges like fashion designer Zac Posen, stylist/author June Ambrose, celebrity stylist Marni Senofonte and Diddy himself.
