Karl Kani and DrJays.com’s Boss Lady

Boss Lady had the pleasure of sitting down with hip-hop fashion pioneer Karl Kani recently in the DrJays.com offices.

During the interview, the extremely down to earth style icon discusses making clothes for people in the projects in the beginning of his career (he hails from Brooklyn, NY), where the name “Karl Kani” comes from, what life was like at the height of his success (when rap legends Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur wore his brand on a consistent basis), his involvement in the upcoming film Notorious, and his new line, Kani Life Denim.
