Jay-Z takes a look at his future President – Barack Obama

The long awaited Inauguration Day is only a week away!

Barack Obama‘s swearing-in as President of the U.S. will take place on Jan. 20th.

Many star studded events and performances will surround the ceremony.

CBS News reported today that Beyoncé is set to perform at the inauguration kickoff event “We Are One”, along with Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Bono, John Legend, Usher and more.

This free celebration will take place on Jan. 18th at the Lincoln Memorial in D.C.

According to E! Online, Jay-Z will also be performing an intimate concert on the eve of the inauguration, at the Warner Theater.

Will you be making your way to D.C. for this historic inauguration?

“We Are One” will be exclusively presented by HBO, so you can catch it on TV if you can’t make it in person!

I don’t know about that, he was the lesser of two evils and that’s basically how Americans chose their Presidents but it obviously wouldn’t have been an historic moment if he was fully white. You have to remember that Obama is bi-racial not just black or white but if he claimed his white side and had a white family it would have been a whole nother story…

  • No one really wanted the older bush clone and whats her name to run the country. Obama being black was part of it. But if he was all white, he still would have won.

People knew he was part white. But in this reality speaking he’s black. I say this being of black/hispanic/chinese mix. Because to everyone else i’m black. And I let people know i’m mixed. All, most of them see is black. No ones is going to take in consideration I’m hispanic and asian also.

So guess what i’m black. Just like he’s black. They’re not going to treat him any better because he’s half white, it just doesn’t work that way. He did have books out and i’m sure it was in there. It’s funny how people bring it up as to try and dilute the victory. He may be half white but he faced all the trials, tribulations and then some. So he earned being called black. Besides it’s politics, everyone knew.

  • Jen says:

I’m not trying to dilute anything, I’m just being real, Lana said if Obama was white he wouldn’t have won but I disagree. I’ve been an Obama supporter since I first heard he was running & if I had to vote for somebody else it would’ve been for Ron Paul, he even refused to support McCain when he won the RCN because yes, he is a Bush clone that we don’t need. I was just stating the fact that because he’s biracial if he said he didn’t identify with his black side and had a white wife and kids a lot of us black folks would resent him the same way a lot of us still resent Tiger Woods when he said he’s Asian which he is but we’re just selfish like that so your right about one thing, at the end of the day you’re still Black…
