Miracle on the Hudson
Just minutes after taking off from NYC yesterday, a U.S. Airways plane had to make an emergency landing in the Hudson River.
Thankfully, the plane landed safely in the water where it floated as passengers were rescued.
All 150 people on the North Carolina bound flight miraculously survived, and only minor injuries were incurred by some.
The pilot of the plane, Chesley B. Sullenberger IIl, is being hailed as a “hero” for landing the plane safely and ensuring all of his passengers were taken care of.
Apparently a double bird strike is to blame.
