The fashion industry thanks President Obama
President Barack Obama and Diddy
CNN reported that President Barack Obama has indirectly been responsible for helping retailers and designers generate sales.
Everyone from haute couture designers to brands like Sean John have Obama merchandise flying off the shelves.
“Obama-related merchandise is a bright spot in a dark time for retail”, said Dawn Robertson, president of Sean John.
She said the company has sold “hundreds of thousands” of Obama tees since Sean John introduced them in November, including the Voted and Won and Yes We Did tees.
Sales have peaked again surrounding the inauguration.
