Update: Rihanna confirmed as assault victim

Relating to our post earlier today, various media outlets have confirmed that Rihanna (birth name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) was the alleged victim of assault by Chris Brown.
New reports indicate a weapon was not involved, but that Rihanna has “contusions and bite marks.
The LAPD is expected to give a briefing on the case this evening.
Brown has been charge with one count felony criminal threats, which could result in up to 9 years in prison. His court date for this matter is apparently set for March 5th.
Wrigley didn’t waste anytime. The popular chewing gum brand has already suspended the previously squeaky-clean Chris Brown from their ad campaign.
Ironically – and sadly – Brown witnessed domestic abuse in his own home growing up.
In 2007, he spoke with Giant magazine about how his father used to beat his mother, stating “he made me terrified all the time, terrified like I had to pee on myself. I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, ‘I’m just gonna go crazy on him one day…’ I hate him to this day.”

I heard on a radio station out in my region, that Rihanna had given him an STD. Of course if she did, it was going to get out because the doctor and his/her nurses wanted to get paid for something like that. So him beating her up was funny enough for me. I would have just left her alone because he is too handsome for jail and too talented for his career to end behind that big headed, Beyonce’ wannabe.
I figured he probably had witnessed abuse as a child. I witnessed domestic abuse throughout my childhood (but then we let Jesus completely take charge of the situation and we don’t have those types of problems anymore), and it is a tough, challenging and daily struggle not to repeat that type of behavior. With that said, it is STILL everyone’s personal responsibility to govern themselves no matter what they experienced during their childhood.
Oh, and I TOLD Y’ALL in the original post that it was Rihanna and that she had bruises. I’m ahead of my time because I’m a genius!

I hope it’s not as bad as everyone is making it sound but anything’s possible. He is still human even though he’s a celebrity. But it also just shows that no matter how many people say they love you they’re really just waiting for them to fail.
