Our amazing Fresh Faces of Spring 2009 winners, Jon Mason and Jessica Perez, have written about their experience with our San Diego team for the shoot (and as you can see below, their entries reflect who’s male and who’s female, ha!).

Jon Mason:

“My experience was one to remember from beginning to end. I was very pleased with the hospitality that the whole DrJays.com team showed to me. I enjoyed the photo shoot to the fullest and I appreciate the opportunity to represent DrJays.com as the fresh face of the spring.”

Jessica Perez:

“Hey everyone! First of all I would like to start off by saying that I am super excited to be DrJays.com fresh face 2009! I would like to thank the entire DrJays.com staff and everyone who made it possible for me to have this wonderful opportunity that I am about to share with you.

“March 18, I was flown out to San Diego, CA from New York to shoot an exclusive photo shoot for DrJays.com and I got to stay at the beautiful Hard Rock hotel, I was also given a $500 DrJays.com voucher, amazing prize right! Oh I forgot to mention that I also got to bring someone with me! And who better else then my lovely mother?

“When I arrived at San Diego airport I saw two cool guys from the DrJays.com team waiting for me one holding up a sign with my name (JESSICA PEREZ) I gave him the ‘oh no you didn’t’ kind of look, lol, and the other filming me…but the welcoming was pretty cool!

“After arriving at the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel my mom and I decided to take advantage of the fact it was still early because we literally had one day of personal time. We went to a restaurant called Maryjane’s, located in the hotel itself and had some delicious quesadillas! By the way I love Mexican food.

“If you thought Times Square is the only place that lights up at night well, guess what? San Diego is awesome at night as well! As you walk down the historic San Diego downtown strip you get a sense of comfort that you are welcomed. The smiles, laughter and music will captivate your attention and give you an idea of what this city has to offer. I loved how there was a lot of bars, restaurants, and cute clothing/sneaker stores, so if you lose your luggage on your way there, don’t worry about it there’s a lot of places to buy new cute things!

“The following day was the day of the photo shoot. I was so happy and ready to rock on! My hair, makeup and wardrobe was professionally done by Mary Erickson (Makeup Artist/Hairstylist), Shant Jabourian and Juliana Young (Stylist). It was awesome to work with such an energetic and hardworking team, it really felt like we were all family. The photo shoot was a long day but it was sure worth it, you guys will see that Jon and I had so much fun!

“Last but not least, I was a little sad that I had to go back to New York so soon, but I had such a great experience that I will definitely be going back to San Diego to visit. This truly was a memorable experience on behalf of DrJays.com.

“Thank you to each and everyone that made this unforgettable experience possible. DrJays.com team – you’re the best!”
