Manny Ramirez suspended for drug use

Yet another professional baseball player tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
Major League Baseball announced today that Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder, Manny Ramirez, has just been suspended for 50 games.
Ramirez said that the positive test is a result from prescription medication supplied by his doctor, not from a steroid.
“Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy”, said Ramirez in a statement released through baseball’s players’ union.
“Under the policy, that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests.”
Ramirez, who signed a $45 million contract, is the biggest star player to test positive for drugs since Rafael Palmeiro did in 2005.
