Kiki’s Weekly Picks
Some of our loyal readers have asked for more of our personal input when it comes to style.
Your girl Kiki will now be running a weekly post where some of my favorite items on DrJays.com will be featured!
Check out my picks for this week below. I guess I’m in a summery mood. The sun is finally back out here in NYC after plenty of rain, and I want to see bright whites and colors on people!
I’m sure many of you have seen retailers scrambling to push Michael Jackson memorabilia tees out in the past few days. This uniquely designed M.J. Tee by The Loots was released long before the King of Pop passed away. With a silhouette of M.J., it features sequin detail on his glove and flocked/felt hair.
I am not usually a fan of big graphics, but this Uncoachable Jacket by Undrcrwn just looks fly. The varsity style jacket is a crisp white color with pastel blue, yellow and black accents, embroidered detail and snap button closures.
The Money Stacks Shorts by Rocksmith have a preppy look with a twist. The design is clean with subtle allover embroidery. Yes, those are stacks of cash you see in the embroidery. I am feeling that effortless summer swagger on men these days. Less is often more, so if you pair the shorts above with a plain v-neck tee, you’re good to go.
Rompers are hot this season, and so is denim in lightweight and light washes; so you kill two trends with one stone in this Jimi Jumpsuit by Rocawear. With minimal gold stud detail, this romper looks fresh and comfortable at the same time.
I am head over heels…or should I say head over sneakers…for these Diamond Studded Lace Up kicks by Punkrose. They have clean and feminine style, but the tonal black studs make them stand out. They would look great paired with skinny jeans or shorts.
White jeans are a must have for summer, unless you a klutz like me and spill everything! This Destructed Skinny Jean by Ten 25 looks like they fit great, and the destruction is gives them just enough edginess.
Check back next week for brand new picks of my favorite DrJays.com pieces!
