Inside Style with celebrity stylist Kesha Mcleod

Celebrity Stylist Kesha Mcleod
With the untimely deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, I couldn’t help but dedicate my style column this month to both of them.
This past week we all lost a major pop star, humanitarian and fashion icon in Michael Jackson. MJ made high-water trousers paired with white gym socks and black loafers with a sequin glove his staple:

He has influenced countless artists, contributing to their fashion, choreography, videos and more. His role in our “pophiphoprockjazzsoul” culture was unlike no other.
As an example of his affinity for high fashion, Jackson hired French designer Givenchy to wardrobe his “This is It” tour:

Major acts like Beyoncé were inspired to take his lead in the years to follow:

He also inspired not only the sound but the image of acts like Ne-Yo:

And also Chris Brown:

Farrah Fawcett was a woman who brought sex appeal and class to the standard swimsuit, as seen in this iconic photo:

She influenced styles such as the western shirt (which made a big hit on runways last year), high-waist pants and the classic, bouffant hair flips (as you can see, Jessica Simpson is a direct style descendant):

We thank both of them for the style, moves and true kindness they both gave to the world.

Kesha you hit it right on the button!
That was a great article Kesha!!!! I love the comparisons…both MJ and Farrah will truely be missed!!
Great Read Kesha! MJ as well as Farrah inspired so many to come after them. To this day people obvioulsy emulate the style of MJ with their fedora’s and leather bomber jackets, while Farrah’s hair is still used as a template for many people’s personal style. Thanks for sharing this post.
