NYC street corner named after Run DMC

Run DMC
Run DMC is getting a New York City street corner named after them.
205th Street and Hollis Avenue, the corner in Queens where the hip hop group began, will be renamed to “RUN DMC JMJ Way”.
The New York City Council approved the renaming to honor Run DMC, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to make it official shortly.
“JMJ” stands for the late Jam Master Jay, one of the group’s founding members. His murder in 2002 remains unsolved.
Your thoughts?

I think that’s great. It shows how hip hop has become more mainstream. Hopefully this would help the genre get more of the proper respect that it rightly deserves.
We should put one in every city in America, but first we need to clean up and take pride in our already-established Malcolm X and Martin Luther King streets, avenues, and boulevards.
