Jay-Z & Eminem Join Forces on “DJ Hero”

Similar to the popular “Guitar Hero” game, Activision’s “DJ Hero” will allow you to show of your turntable skills.
Hip-hop moguls Jay-Z and Eminem are teaming up for a special edition of the game, which is set to launch in October 09 – the same time the standard game system comes out.

Called “DJ Hero: Renegade Edition” after Jay-Z’s 2001 hit with Eminem, the game system will include an exclusive “Renegade” turntable controller with metal controls (instead of the game’s standard plastic controller), and a hard-shell carrying case that can convert into a performance-ready DJ stand.

The package will also contain a two-disc CD set featuring previously unreleased music from both artists.
Other artists who have contributed to the game so far include Grandmaster Flash, DJ AM, DJ Shadow, and the Beastie Boys.
Here are just a few of the tracks that have been announced for the final game:
“All Apologies” by Nirvana vs. “Give It to Me Baby” by Rick James (DJ Shadow Mix)
“Let’s Dance” by David Bowie vs. “Jack of Spades” by KRS One (DJ Shadow Mix)
“Feel Good Inc.” by the Gorillaz vs. “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye
Are you looking forward to the release?
