Video: Brandon Hines Covers Maxwell’s Pretty Wings

I have a confession. I absolutely love it when an artist covers another record and posts it on YouTube.com. It’s an intimate free live show and an invitation into their kitchens and bedrooms. Sometimes the cover sounds better than the original as was the case with Karina Pasian‘s “Halo”.

Cultivated in Motown, Brandon Hines and his refreshingly natural singing talent are campaigning for legendary status. His independent debut “Love Music: Fallin In Fallin Out” made it all the way to iTunes selling over 7,000 copies.

Collaborations with Ryan Leslie, Trey Songz, and Cassie have only raised the volume on his buzz as he steadily earns credibility in an industry where quality R&B is a rarity. Check out his version of “Pretty Wings”.
