Bill Maher is by far one of the most watched, funniest men on cable television (and remember, my opinion counts because I used to be a rapper) ::Laughs::

In the last episode of HBO’s Emmy-nominated talk show, Real Time With Bill Maher, the socially aware, politically conscious, stand-up comedian confirmed his opinion that he thinks the United States of America is a stupid country.

Somebody isn’t too impressed with American culture and its citizens. He even made the analogy that the U.S. is like a college chick after two Long Island Iced Teas; “We can be talked into anything.”

Well it’s true. Seriously though, have you ever asked yourself, “How dumb am I?” If you haven’t, here’s an opportunity.

Do you know what the three branches of American Government are? Do you know what the acronyms “USDA” or “FCC” stand for? It’s OK. Take your time. I’ll wait.

Don’t feel too dumb. In the words of Will Durant, “Education is the progressive discovery of our own ignorance.”

Even if the majority of Americans are stupid or ignorant, there’s always an opportunity to learn. Right?

If you missed last weeks show, here’s a clip:

Here’s Bill O’Reilly’s response:

Now that you’ve seen two perspectives, do you think the United States is a stupid country?

Bill is a trickster, he uses seemingly convincing statistics that actually have nothing to do with the issue at hand. How can you judge a stupid representative with a stupid populace?

  • I hate to say it but he’s right. He’s pretty much dead on. This country has gone down hill. And we are easily distracted. It really sucks too, because the tactics used are so easy to see. It’s equivalent to walking in a store with a 3yr and they grab candy with the baby death clutch, you distract them with something else and take it out their hands. Then they forget what they wanted or needed in the first place.

  • I disagree with the Bill Maher statement. As America is one of the most popular country in the world and this would not be possible wherein dumb people play their part a the citizens.

Not much to my appreciation this could be a publicity stunt by Bill.

  • Eyeroll says:

LMAO at College Lifestyle. You disagree with Bill but you sound stupid as hell. “one of the most popular COUNTRY in the world”? “play their part A the citizens”? Please sit down, you shame me.. There are atleast five grammatical errors in your retarded ass statement, you’re only making his point.

  • Marek Walczyk says:

Just a question for Bill Maher.
Are you more stupid or less stupid then the rest of the Americans?

  • think positive says:

I feel offended by bill maher, by calling me stupid and I think America should feel the same.
Whoever watches his show after being called stupid probbably is stupid,
