This young man is a hero and a role model! The issue is (or should be) about female violence and how difficult it is as a male to deal with it. Chris Brown is a male abuse victim who fought back! We (Americans) have an acute focus on "male violence", when most male violence is retaliatory. Despite being aware of this reality we seem to gloss over the fact that she has admittedly initiated violence on multiple occasions, as women often do.
As a male abuse victim I continue to tell men, especially young men, to get away from violent abusive women at the first hint of "her" being abusive.
As a nation we refuse to campaign to support male victims, “Getting Out”, of abusive relationships or away from an abusive women. Instead we make every attempt to TEACH MEN TO BE COMPLIANT NON-COMPLAINTANT ABUSE VICTIMS! Yes I know I am shouting. It is just absurd, evil and oppressive to continue to teach men to be victims instead of punishing female violence equally under the law.
Chris Brown is a victim! A male abuse victim who finally fought back! As men we are told that we are never supposed to fight back, that makes "us" abusers. Instead we (men) should respect and live up to our God given roles … as her victim.
