Young Jeezy: “[Twitter] is like the police!”
Young Jeezy on the cover of the September 2009 issue of XXL (button-up shirt by Sneaktip, coming soon)
Young Jeezy is a hot commodity nowadays.
Between recording his upcoming album, Thug Motivation 103 (Def Jam), shooting magazine covers like the one above for XXL and promoting the relaunch of his clothing brand Eight732 (plus his new sneaker collaboration with Adidas, coming soon to DrJays.com) the Atlanta-born hustler hardly has a minute to spare – which is why we appreciated the time he gave us recently (in his hotel gym while on tour with Lil Wayne, no less).
In the rare interview, Jeezy speaks about Eight732 moving from its original home (Rocawear) to the independently owned Koon Enterprises, how his original intentions for the brand have stayed true, it’s evolution and more. He touches on the recording process for TM103 and working with various producers, including DrJays.com’s Summer Sensations 2007 star Drumma Boy, his strong aversion to Twitter and why he’s not on there and much more.
Check the video out, plus new Eight732 gear, under the jump!
