Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter  has done it again. If you haven’t already heard, the Grammy Award-winning Brookynite best known for his “swag” and undeniable rhymes has sold out Madison Square Garden in under 15-minutes. Impressive? Well, the business savvy entrepreneur has made the top ten MSG gross list, with three of his shows being in that line-up.

This is Carters 8th time selling out the venue and he performs this Friday at 9PM(EST). The concert will air live on Fuse TV without commercial breaks.

The performance is a benefit concert for The New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund. All of the proceeds go toward the cause and the date marks the 8th anniversary of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.

According to Rollingstone.com Carter was stated as saying, “This charity and concert encompass the true spirit of New York City…We are asking everyone to ‘answer the call’ and support and honor the families of those that lost their lives in the line of duty. There was true camaraderie and resiliency that this city showed the world in 2001, and we continue that today by taking care of our own.

Jay-Z is also scheduled to kick-off a college tour starting on October 9th at Penn State. Those tickets go on sale Friday, September, 2009 as well.

Catch Jay-Z at Radio City Music Hall on September 13th, 2009 for the VMAs on MTV and on The Jay Leno Show on Monday Night, alongside Kanye West and Rihanna.
