Amy Winehouse has started a record label. Wait, what? (*Runs to recheck source*). Yep. Amy Winehouse has started a record label. According to AmyWinehouse.com, the five time Grammy winning singer has launched Lioness Records, inspired by Berry Gordy’s Motown and The Specials’ 2Tone label.

According to her website, Amy wanted to create a label where she could sign and work closely with a small roster of artists she believed in. The first release on the new imprint will be Introducing Dionne Bromfield, the debut album from thirteen year old Londoner Dionne Bromfield.

The name Lioness was inspired by a necklace, bearing a Lioness pendant, given to Amy by her grandmother.
All I’m going to say is, I hope she stays sober. Good luck.

I thought it would be one of the following: “AA”, “24/7 lush”, “keep it swayin”, “stay tipsy”, “da winehouse”, “forever blurry goggles”… Ok I’m going to stop I could go on forever.
