And The Top Five Best Dressed Musicians Go To…

Make sure you read this slowly: The “Top Five Best Dressed Musicians” were determined by AHLOT. This is not a reflection of a scientific poll or an intense research study. I watch urban fashion, done some marketing for Coup d’etat Brooklyn, I have a degree in Mass Communication and I’ve worked for several online fashion sites. Does this give me the right to come up with a list? Well, I think so.
We’re all entitled to our opinions and I want our digital supporters to contribute to my conclusion (if you disagree or not). I consider you all fashion experts… I know you guys watch “Project Runway” and read Complex Magazine. As readers, you guys have a right to contribute as well.
Give me your two cents, I’ll send you a check… ::smiles::
It’s the year of 2009 and the “Top Five Best Dressed Musicians” go to performers with style, swag and a great deal of fashion forecasting. Thanks to stylists, individual flavor and personal shoppers, I came up with my list. Don’t bash me…This list is in order.
1.) Diddy: Let’s be honest. This man is the epitome of class and style. Enough said. No explanation is needed here. Who can dress better than this guy?

2.) Mary J. Blige: Mary J. is by far one of the best examples in music of “street swag” mixed with high-end sense (cents). She never looks “cheap,” overdone or half dressed. She stays sharp from head-to-toe, accessorized perfectly and the Yonkers bred singer sets trends for woman around the globe. Simply beautiful.

3.) John Legend: Although he’s hardly ever wearing the typical urban apparel, John Legend sets a great example for clothes that fit. I never see his boxers, he’s clothes are always tailored and Legend is typically sophisticated chic.

4.) Kelis: She’s fierce, fresh and futuristic. She stays ahead of the game. From hairstyles to shoes, dresses to sound, she creates colorful trends that pave the way for urbanites around the world. She’s hot. Period.

5.) Alicia Keys: First of all, she is always dressed. Dancing in a swimsuit isn’t always justified… It’s cool to wear bottoms. Outside of that, she’s conservative, soft, simple and a great visual role model for young women. She simply looks, “Down to Earth” and somewhat make-up free. I can dig that.

Again, this list is in order (no.1 being the best). I’m sure I didn’t make any mistakes. Special shout out to Misa Hylton.
Honorable mentions: Ryan Leslie, Estelle, Fabolous, Maxwell, Lauryn Hill, Common (minus the cords), Jay-Z and last but not least, Lady Gaga (sike, just kidding).

Yo Berner/Terner stop advertising fake clothes on this site
ermmmm and wheres pharrell this is so not cool
Chris Brown is always fresh. They got pics of him picking up trash and he is still fresh. Like he is fresh. He is always fresh. Let me back up off his tip. lol, but Chris Brown is always fresh though in some cool looking stuff. But Pharell too because he has a dope clothing line that keeps Chris Brown looking fresh. Them hoodies are so hot.
For all its cutting-edge brevity, Twitter has nothing on the creative geniuses of modern history. Hemingway once wrote a haunting story using a mere six words: “For Sale: gucci shoe. Never worn.”

KELIS IS SOOOO INNOVATIVE!!
SHES YEARS AHEAD OF ALL THESE LAME GIRLS U TRY TO COPY HER.
Uh where is Jennifer Lopez?! Any fashion list without her is a void. Diddy, & Kelis def. should be on here. Alicia Keys? Eh, she’s just started stepping her game up. Mary is always hit or miss… & When I think of John Legend “fashion” doesn’t come to mind. This is your list tho & we all have our own opinions.
