Martin Margiela's Glass Slippers
Did you ever imagine that Cinderella’s iconic shoes would become a reality?
Martin Margiela has designed glass slippers straight from the fairy tale. Margiela is known for his eccentric and ground-breaking designs so these innovative shoes are just another notch on his belt. I don’t know who in their right mind would actually wear these bad girls, but I guess they’d make good art pieces. The designer had that in mind as well.
The shoes will not sell as a pair, but per piece, with one for $1,277 and a pair for $2,580, available from Maison Margiela stores. That’s crazy steep for art or shoes for that matter, but if you could afford it would you cop or drop?
If I was a girl I wouldn’t.
1. You’d haft to make sure your nails were right.
2. Scratches and scuff marks are goin to look baaaad on that. On the other hand I’d pay to see the vid on the first dude or chick who get’s popped for stepping on someones shoe.
3. I’m thinking looking at feet wedged in won’t be a good look..
If I had it like that I would most def buy a pair.This would be the perfect wedding day shoe not for the club or nothing.My heart does flutter.And after the one wear I would put in a glass box and shine a light on them.

Hell nah…no matter how cute yo feet are, they r gonna look mushed up in them shoes + no ventilation=moisture build up. NOT a gud look on…and they loook uncomfortable as hell.

They are made for display. Who in tha hell gon’ put some real glass heels on? I wish I would see a dumb broad coppin these to actually rock ‘em thinkin she on somethin tight.. Id step on them joints on purpose and make her feet start bleedin.

2. Did YOU read the article? Really did you? You need to work on your grammar comprehension too because your wrong. In the statement you copied it indicates that they are wearable but also would make a really good art piece.
3. I would laugh if you stepped on someones foot and not only does it not break or shatter because you have no idea on how strong glass can be. But you get beat up then she calls the cop on you.
I would..I did that for prom, for my whole cinderella theme.. Only thing is your feet slide to the front, it’s not to comfotable but it is a head turner… You can find other versions for $150- $300.
