He-Man Impersonating Zoolander

Your eyes are not deceiving you. That’s classic cartoon hero He-Man pictured above wearing a Dior Homme jacket, April 77 jeans and Pierre Hardy shoes.

Let’s back track. How many of you actually grew up on He-Man and his female counterpart She-Ra? I know I’m not the only one who really felt like I was doing something by commanding “BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL…I HAVE THE POWER!!” (Please believe I had the sword too).

Did it ever cross your mind what He-Man and company would look like if they were hipsters? Hmm…mine neither, but artist Adrian Riemann has been recreating our favorite Masters of the Universe in the form of 2009 hipsters. By creating a hand-drawn lookbook and styling the characters in designer clothing, Riemann has portrayed our beloved heroes as if they were really in a fashion spread [*cues Kid Cudi music in iPod shuffle].
