It’s no secret that DMX has had a really rough stretch the past few years. He’s been busted for drug possession, impersonating a federal agent, animal cruelty and a host of other minor if not significant charges.

Nevertheless, Dark Man X (born Earl Simmons) is apparently set to fight one Eric Martinez on December 12.

It’s supposed to be a celebrity fight so the real question is, who the hell is Eric Martinez? Googling him only brought up more LOL’s on the whole subject of DMX fighting, period.

Truth be told he needs the press and not for doing something illegally crazy. Although I don’t think doing something that could potentially put him in a coma isn’t the best idea either.

I think he should stick to something safe like, say, Dancing With The Stars, or serve as guest host on So You Think You Can Dance. The visuals are hilarious.

Tell me – instead of doing a MMA fight with Jah knows who, what reality show do you think ‘X would be better suited to?

Sober House doesn’t sound so bad. I hope he doesn’t get his chops handed to him, ’cause I would still listen to another DMX album if ever released.
