R. Kelly Is An Illiterate!
How can a man so talented with musical ability be so dumb with a pen and a pad? I don’t know, but R. Kelly is on record with Fantasia as a functioning illiterate. Maybe he’ll team up with Flava Flav and go back to high school to get his diploma?
Kelz said that he’d dictate the song lyrics to a person who he’d pay to write them down, but most recently at the Midwest Music Festival in Chicago, the Pied Piper brought up his challenges again while discussing the ups and downs of his career.
“When I was trying to make it out here, I already knew, and I was stubborn about it,” he said. “I don’t even read really and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me ‘you can’t even read right.”
“How you think you’re going to come up?’ The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot. I went to high school and [my teacher] told me ‘you will be one of the greatest writers of all time.’ I believed. You [have to] believe it. You can’t believe [anything] if you’re hating. You can’t achieve [anything] if you’re hating.” [EURWeb]
Reading is fundamental, kiddies, but R. Kelly has proven him to be one of the best songwriters in the business. He even has a song on the new Whitney Houston album. So, is Kelly stupid or are we just being a fool for him?

That’s old news taken from a recent video. He told everyone that 10 years ago he uses a recorder to create his lyrics.
