Usher Airs Out Marital Woes In New Single

Released yesterday, “Papers” is the first official single off of Usher’s upcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond (LaFace Records).
Co-written by Sean Garrett, the song details a marriage much closer to the one portrayed in the media than that described by Usher himself. Garrett however insists the record wasn’t inspired by real life and was in fact written before problems between Usher and Tameka were made public.

Could this single be the foreshadowing of yet another classic Usher album?
As long as he leaves that song, “Cruisin” that already leaked to the internet off the album – I think he will have another classic. As an Usher fan (almost to the extent that I’m a Nas fan), I hope it does Confessions well. Run back to Ms. Patton, Usher. Moms will always forgive you for thinking with the wrong head, hopefully.
