As a member of WEEN (Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network) since its inception, I’m proud to announce the organization has partnered with HoneyMag.com to create an online destination for young women seeking useful and empowering career information.
A go-to resource aimed to inspire and inform young women, HoneyMag.com created the Honey Internship Placement (HIP) Program to help the most talented, ambitious, and resourceful of their readers break into their “dream” industries of Music, Entertainment, Fashion and PR.
HoneyMag.com has placed 17 interns with major corporations, such as Martha Stewart Omnimedia, MTV Networks, Universal Records and many more, whom all hosted interns in various departments during the summer of 2009.
“We are very excited to partner with WEEN to offer a careers portal for young women as they enter into the workforce,” says Philmore Anderson, CEO of Sahara Media Inc, parent company to HoneyMag.com. “As a company with long-standing brand awareness and a loyal consumer base, we want HoneyMag.com to continuously be a destination of empowerment, growth, encouragement and self awareness for our young readers.”

WEEN’s career center, with Honey, will serve as the go-to online destination for career development.”
WEEN’s prominent Board Members include TV personalities LaLa Vazquez and Alesha Renee, music industry exec Shanti Das and celebrity lawyer L. Londell McMillan plus artists MC Lyte and LeToya Luckett.
