The posthumous career of the late great Michael Jackson officially began this morning with the release of his single “This Is It”.
Featuring background vocals by the Jackson brothers, the mid-tempo love song is the title track off of Michael’s newest two-disc CD scheduled to be released October 27th. According to the press release, disc one will consist of original masters of some of Jackson’s biggest hits, while the second disc will be comprised of unreleased demo versions of a few classic tracks. The entire track listing of This Is It (Sony Music) will also be featured in the upcoming movie Michael Jackson’s This Is It. Releasing in theaters October 28th for a two-week engagement, the film will offer fans an exclusive look at the musical genius as he developed and rehearsed for the sold-out comeback tour that never happened.
