On the set of GQ’s “Man of the Year” shoot: Drake, Kid Cudi and Wale

Every year GQ magazine features “Men of the Year”.

In 2008, President Barack Obama led the issue.

TheYBF.com reported that this year the magazine has mixed it up, giving three rising hip hop artists the single title: Kid Cudi, Drake and Wale.

Apparently Wale’s rep has confirmed it.

When I think of the freshest talent this year in hip hop, this makes absolute sense to me – what do you think?

Are you surprised that the magazine named these artists? If you don’t agree with their choice, let us know who you would pick!

Watch out for Wale on Jimmy Kimmel Live November 10th, which is also his album release date.

In Kid Cudi news, he is set to take Kanye West‘s place on the tour with Lady Gaga soon.

Drake’s album is set to be released in early 2010.
