Affion Crockett

I am officially naming Affion Crockett as the king of Hip Hop spoofs. Well it’s not official because I have no kind of pull or authority like that but I do truly believe that he’s the best at spoofs. If you don’t recall the name or the face right now you might have see Affion starring on Wild ‘N Out with Nick Cannon delivering punishing punchlines with his freestyles. He also starred in Soul Men alongside the late great comedian Bernie Mac and Samuel Jackson. But I’m here to mention these spoofs so let’s get to it.

Today, Affion released his latest spoof that pokes fun at Def Jam founders, Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors. If you did not get a chance to watch that then it may not seem relevant but Affion does a great job with it:

Previously in September, Affion spoofed the video of “Run This Town” by Jay-Z, Rihanna, & Kanye West while poking fun at Chris Brown. Check out the nice lyrics that he provides:

Amazing. Affion even spoofed “Mr. Carter” by Jay-Z and Lil’ Wayne with a lucky surprise spoof at the end.

I hope you had as much fun with this article as I did. Affion has more videos which you can definitely find on Youtube that spoof more artists. I’m wondering if there’s any other great spoof talent out there.

If he’s not the king then who is? Weigh in!
