Braylon Edwards Charged With Assault
NFL receiver Braylon Edwards
New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was charged with misdemeanor assault Monday, following an incident outside of a Cleveland nightclub earlier this month.
Edwards is accused of punching club promoter Edward Givens, a friend of LeBron James, during an argument October 5th. Givens claims that the NFL star began degrading him and James (who wasn’t present) before throwing blows.
After multiple issues with Braylon’s off-field conduct, the Cleveland Browns finally decided to part ways with him via a trade with New York just two days after the incident. The Jets recently issued the following statement:
“The team was aware of these allegations prior to acquiring Braylon from Cleveland. He has been cooperative with authorities and we will allow the legal process to run its course.”
He has been scheduled for a hearing on November 17th in Cleveland and if convicted the charge could carry a six month sentence in addition to a $1,000 fine.
Is it just me, or do off-field altercations seem to be the new trend in pro sports?

There is visibly a lot to realize about this. I think you made some nice points in features also.
