VIDEO: Sha Stimuli Hits Dr. Jays Store In Brooklyn
Sha Stimuli dropped his long-awaited debut album, My Soul To Keep, one week ago today and hip-hop circles are abuzz with critical acclaim.
My Soul To Keep offers a stellar collection of music, telling tales of the streets (“Move Back” featuring Freeway; produced by Just Blaze), working the 9-to-5 grind (“Do It For The Doe”), impassioned reflections (“I Believe”) and hilarious, unfortunate encounters with the opposite sex (“The Smelly Cat Song”).
Sha (born Sherod Khaalis) recently met with Boss Lady in the Dr. Jays store on Fulton St in his home borough of Brooklyn.
Peep how Sha speaks of his Dr. Jays memories, the history of his long career in the music industry, the elements that define My Soul To Keep, his thoughts on if it’s difficult to market him as an artist and how he describes a Brooklyn guy’s “swag.”
Check out the video for “Move Back”:
My Soul To Keep is out now through Chambermusik/E1 Distribution.
