Oprah Doesn’t Like You If You Are Bad!

Oprah In Central Park

So, Oprah ends her 2009 with a bang.

She finally let a rapper be themselves on her show, er, um… magazine. She went to the hood (probably hasn’t been there in ages) and is beginning to go into business for herself.

But why, oh, why is she kickin’ a gospel singer to the curb? Find out why after the jump.

The talk show goddess has been doing a karaoke challenge on her show and one of the contestants was legendary gospel singer, BeBe Winans.

But according to the Associated Press, not even God could save the musician from Oprah’s wrath. Winans, who is facing charges for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground, was ousted from the challenge by Oprah. He had already taped segments on the show discussing the selection of contestants and surprising some of the finalists with news that they had made the cut.

Is it just me or is Oprah trying to send a message to wrong-doers out there? She recently did a show on the abuse issue regarding Chris Brown and Rihanna, but then received criticism after including Winans. The good natured talk show host won’t stand by and let degenerates and uncouth individuals taint her reputation and her show.

The obvious nature of this shows that you cannot escape trepidation and folks aren’t going to give you a pass in this new era of right and wrong.

Sucks because barring Winans pushing of his wife to the ground, the action pales in comparison to other troubles that folks are going through, but the short around the long is that you won’t get a pass to appear on Oprah until you’ve wholly forgiven your sins.

Then you’ll be able to kneel and worship at the OWN alter.
