Back in the 90′s, Boyz II Men dominated the pop charts with their blend of soulful singing and beautiful harmony.

Almost a decade a later, you would not even imagine that something as serious as “swine flu” would affect anyone, let alone, Shawn Stockman. Read more after the jump.

The singer/songwriter has been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, according to CNN. Serious business this is. Fellow group members Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris have decided to keep the show going, even though the illness forced Stockman to miss performing with his crew for the 2009 Soul Train Awards.

“He got sick, and it hit him pretty hard,” says Nathan Morris in a piece done on BET.com. “We go all over the world really, so I am surprised it hasn’t happened earlier, to be honest. I talked to [Stockman]… and he is doing much better.” While the group preps their ninth studio album, Love, we should all take the time to send out some prayers to Mr. Stockman and his family.

President Obama has declared this a national emergency. As of Oct 11th, 2009, the U.N.’s World Health Organization states that “74 countries have officially reported over 399,234 cases of H1N1 infection, including 4,735 deaths.”

This is definitely nothing to sneeze at. So, we here at DrJays.com, send out our well wishes to Shawn Stockman and we hope that he beats this virus soon!
