Dubstep is amazing. If you’re not familiar with the genre, it’s a distant, doper, and slower cousin to Drum & Bass. Hailing from the UK, Dubstep has been an underground club and DJ movement for the past few years. Only recently has Dubstep made its way stateside to hot spots in LA and NYC. Talented producers like Caspa and Switch are furthering the genre with their wild remixes of tracks by Kid Sister and Bjork.

Since you can always improve on something awesome, Wu-Tang Clan has teamed up (again) with The Indie Culture for Enter The Dubstep.

Enterthedubstep

The album will be released on November 10th of this year. I’m excited, not only will this album feature remixed/mash-up’d versions of Wu-Tang classics but it will also include new bangers like Deepspace.

The album is being touted as a:

trail-blazing the collaboration between Dubstep and Hip-Hop, with stomach-pounding, bass-thumping guttural beats, and gully, gritty and grimy lyrics that break into the next decade in the chapters of each respective genre’s history. With Scuba, Parson, Trillbass, Dakimh, DZ, Rogue Star, Stenchman, Datsik & many more producing not remixes, but complex re-interpollations that include a veritable goldmine of Wu-Tang verses from the vaults that feature Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, RZA, GZA, Method Man, U-God & Masta Killa, Wu affiliates Killah Priest, Bronze Nazareth, Prodigal Sunn, Solomon Childs, Son One & more, and guest spots from Busta Rhymes, MF Doom, Pimp C, Three 6 Mafia, Ras Kass, Vast Aire, Canibus, Lord Jamar & many more, this one of a kind compilation is at the forefront of an emerging cultural and musical blend that is taking place on the margins of the mainstream, but will be talked about for years to come….Frank

I can’t wait to hear this, and I’m definitely going to add this to my repertoire.
