Jay-Z Has A Short Temper… Really?!

Friends... How many does Jay-Z have?

Gotham Magazine spoke with Jay-Z and in an oddly weird fashion, Jay gave some personal insight on how he felt about himself. Does anybody else find it strange that Jay-Z is doing all this talking now after years of just keeping a straight poker face?

“I don’t dislike anything about myself,” he said to the magazine. “I know this sounds a little arrogant but I really accept what God has given me. I’ve got a short temper but I work on controlling it. I can say inappropriate things because I believe them to be true and sometimes that can be hurtful to others. But I think in the long run it is more helpful.”

Jay… short temper? I’d hate to be his kid and have to be put on punishment. Has anyone ever seen dude lose it? I think not.

While Jay has seemingly conquered the music industry in one felt swoop, the former Roc-A-Fella CEO goes on to express that family and friends take a precedence over fame.

“You have to be close with your foundation and the people who know you best because they’ve known you for so long that they can see the changes in you,’ he continues. “Fame is such a deadly drug that you can’t see the changes because you are so consumed by it. You need a close-knit group of friends and family to make sure you stay grounded.”

So… let me get this straight? If you need family and friends to stay grounded, who are they really? It’s not any one of the folks who have issues with you, definitely not 50 or Beans or Dame, so I’m at a lost. Maybe in the end it really is only B, Ty-Ty and Bleek who Jay is down for. If that’s the case, I have a question to ask you guys…

Is Jay just keeping it business with the folks who have issues with him and they’re not bright enough to figure it out? Or is Jay misleading the public? Speak on it the comments section!
