Tyson Arrested Again… But Was He Justified?
He did it, but was he right in doing it?
Word on the street is that Mike Tyson was recently arrested for battery. But there’s a twist in this seemingly regular re-occurring story in the former champ’s life. Read more after the jump.
A paparazzo got too close to the knockout king as Mike Tyson was arriving in LAX airport last night. The reformed warrior gave the dude a good shot to the domepiece and according to YBF, blood was everywhere. The end result is Mike Tyson arrested for battery.
TMZ said that the photog got very close to Tyson before the boxer struck him. The police hauled him away in a squad car and an ambulance was dispatched to LAX, where the paparazzo was taken to the local hospital. Mike could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, given the man’s reputation and history with his hands.
But was it as unprovoked as it seems? Tyson’s rep said that the family man was traveling with his 10-month old child and his wife while the event transpired. Self-defense to protect his child? Or shades of the old Tyson coming out?

Reading this makes me think you are talking about a Lion attack or something! “he got too close” wtf? i know mike is crazy but even now after all the shit he has been through can’t he keep it cool?
i agree you solo 100%,i know the boy is a little loose but come on get it together!!!!!he goes on all these shows talkin ish how hes sorry how he acted in the past then he cant take it when the paparazzo gets to close???man come on!!!hes not 2years old,control yourself boy!!!!
He was taking pics of his daughter when mike told the dude to stop and he didnt so mike socked him he already had a kid die do have a heart people if someone says stop then do so
While the photographer was definitely wrong to be taking pictures like that, it’s a basic rule that whoever throws the first punch is the bad guy in the eyes of the law. I have studied a few different martial arts and that’s something I was taught. The best way to react to a situation is to put your hands up near your head in a sort of “hey buddy, calm down, I surrender” type of pose. But what that really does is prepare you to block *their* first punch, then deliver your counter. See, after they throw the first punch, it’s open season for you.
Anyway, my point is that no matter what the provocation, Mike is going to be punished for throwing the first (and only!) punch.
According to what I originally heard…the photg touched him first. If so, he has the right to defend himself.
