Yesterday in Miami, Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Air Jordan 2010 – their latest signature sneaker which will also mark the 25th anniversary of the brand.

Just as they have ever since the Air Jordan IX, VP of Creative Design for Nike Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand Creative Director Mark Smith teamed up to create this shoe that is both high in performance and reflective of Michael Jordan’s personality.

Perhaps the most eye-catching design element of the 2010 is the transparent thermoplastic urethane (TPU) window on the side which is said to be representative of Jordan’s ability to let opponents see a little bit of his game without ever exposing the entire thing.

In the following video, both Tinker and Mark talk about the specs and reveal the many inspirations that helped shape the shoe.

Michael Jordan also had this to say upon the unveiling:

“The celebration of the Air Jordan 2010 and our 25th anniversary are the pinnacle of a year full of milestones for me… With each shoe, consumers have pushed me to take the next Air Jordan beyond their wildest imagination. The Air Jordan 2010 marks the future of Jordan Brand and proves there are no limits to what this Brand is capable of creating.”

The Air Jordan 2010 will launch nationwide on Saturday, February 13, 2010 with a suggested retail price of $170.

What do you think? Will you be buying a pair?
